Terms of Use / Recording Agreement
for Jamie Buck Voice Overs (aka JBVO)

Part 1: Pre-Order, Order, Payment, Recording, Delivery, Post-Delivery

Pre-Order
Please contact Jamie via the Contact Form to get started.
• Send your script as a word document to JB at JBVO dot com
He will respond back via text, call and/or email with any questions.
Note: if you are ordering via a 3rd party platform, simply communicate with me there.

Order
• RECORD all uncommon names in your script (as an AUDIO or VIDEO file), and attach to email or provide a link
(phonetics does not always work, it it best if I can HEAR it said by you so say it correctly). Sometimes I will request a call or zoom session if there are pronunciations I am not sure about.
• It is understood that buyer should be available to connect live via zoom, phone or whatsapp to speak directly with Jamie

Payment
• Payment is due prior to recording, unless otherwise discussed.
• For certain regular clients, payment is due within 24 hours of delivery.

Recording
• If at all possible, it is best to be on a LIVE ZOOM SESSION to LISTEN IN as Jamie records.
This will minimize any redos. We know this is not always possible (if not, Jamie will ask for pronunciation audio or video file if necessary)
*If buyer needs to get the tone exactly on point, a LIVE SESSION must be scheduled to avoid REDO FEES.

Delivery
•Most scripts (under 1000 words) can be returned within 24 hours, but please allow up to 48 hours.
Feel free to inquire about ASAP DELIVERY to get yours back within an hour.

Post Delivery
• JBVO will provide “Pickups or Slight Revisions” of lines spoken incorrectly for FREE.
• On some occasions JBVO will provide a full one-time revision of the entire script (but this is not guaranteed).
*As stated above, If buyer needs to get the tone exactly on point, a LIVE SESSION must be scheduled to avoid REDO FEES.
• Changes to script/tone/instructions made after the job has started or after delivery, will incur redo fees.
(depending on amount of changes, this can be 15-75% of original rate)
• If Buyer adds any EXTRAS after initial quote and/or hire (ie. Add Music, Add SFX, Remove Breaths, ASAP Delivery, etc),
JBVO will add an additional payment for said services, so Buyer can accept.
• Buyer agrees that they will respond via email (and sometimes text) to questions about the order.

Part 2: Payment Terms

One-Off Voice Overs
Unless otherwise stated, all purchases from Jamie Buck Voice Overs shall be made up-front prior to Jamie recording any voiceover. Please understand that you are in a partnership with Jamie and both you and he are working toward the same goal: a successful voiceover campaign that drives more sales. If Jamie has NOT recorded your voiceover yet, and you have paid, there is a 24-hour no-questions-asked refund period. To have your refund request qualify, please email JB@JBVO.com with “REFUND REQUEST” in the subject line. Please realize that if Jamie has promised same-day or next-day delivery, the voiceover may have already been recorded and the refund will be void. After 24 hours have passed, the refund is no longer valid and will be left up to the sole discretion of Jamie.

Monthly Retainers
Each party can cancel a monthly subscription by giving 30 days written notice, via JB@JBVO.com with “MONTHLY CANCEL” in the subject line. Refunds will not be given during a current month’s term.

Weekly Retainers
In the case of a current weekly set of Voice Overs (ie YouTube Channel), once the order has been placed and Jamie has started on the project, a full refund will not apply. Any remaining funds may be applied to a future project and will remain in the client’s bank. Partial Refunds (minus a 20% cancel fee) are not given under most circumstances and are at the sole discretion of Jamie. For YouTube Channels, daily voiceovers are a necessity to consistently perform well and be successful with monetization.

In Conclusion
Jamie Buck Voice Overs reserves the right to deny any refund, but will always work with the client to come to an amicable solution. Please remember that when a project is started, it should be carried all the way thru as there is a calendar slot and booking commitment implemented for the allotted voiceovers.
